Last year's Sweat Equity Yoga & Fitness Stage featured an interactive stage and participation area with opportunities to take part in a workshop, chat with a guest lecturer or participate in a free yoga or fitness class. Whether it’s Vinyasa, Acro, Moksha, Ariel or Healing Yoga, our pavilion featured health and nutrition sessions from experts, top teachers and trainers in the GTA who welcome all levels from beginners to gurus.

Attendees hydrated with Flow water and experienced a roster of programming that inspired and moved them!

Gillian is currently completing her doctoral studies at Western University in Health and Rehabilitation Science, Gillian’s research examines health promotion, specifically childhood obesity, physical activity, and diabetes. Gillian is a passionate holistic health advocate, yoga and Yoga Tune Up® teacher, president of the Western Chapter of the Canadian Obesity Network, and contributes to numerous print and online media such as Sweat Equity, Oxygen, Chatelaine, and Inside Fitness magazine. Yoga Tune Up®

Yoga Tune Up® is a fitness therapy format built around the three P's – Pain, Posture and Performance. It helps eradicate pain, improve posture and enhance performance through a unique blend of Corrective Exercise, Self Massage and Yoga. By helping to identify and target your "body blind spots"; areas that are most overused, underused, or misused, YTU heals damaged muscle, increases strength and establishes healthy movement patterns to help you live better in your body..

Yoga Tune Up® is a fitness therapy format built around the three P's – Pain, Posture and Performance. By helping to identify and target your "body blind spots"; areas that are most overused, underused, or misused, YTU heals damaged muscle, increases strength and establishes healthy movement patterns to help you live better in your body.

Moksha Yoga with Megan Hoskins

In this class the Moksha sequence is linked together with vinyasa flows. Emphasis will be on the synergy between breath and movement to help you deepen your practice. This class is always moving, and is set at a quicker pace than a Moksha class.  It is great for upper body strengthening and improving cardiovascular health. All levels welcome, though beginners are encouraged to feel comfortable with static poses first.

The Flying Yogi with Beatrix Montanile

Suspension Yoga offers an energizing and relaxing way of exercising, through inversions and aerial movements. The Flying Yogi Gym introductory class lets you discover just how flexible you are and leaves you feeling relaxed while you are doing a full body work out.

Suspension Yoga offers an energizing and relaxing way of exercising, through inversions and aerial movements. The Flying Yogi Gym introductory class lets you discover just how flexible you are and leaves you feeling relaxed while you are doing a full body work out.

Deborah Devine is the TV Host of Healing Yoga, a new restorative yoga series on the channel called The Brand New ONE. On Healing Yoga, Deborah teaches innovative yoga techniques designed to ease the symptoms of chronic issues for every age and fitness level.

Heidi Blais and Mireille Chamberland are two professional acrobats who perform at public functions and events. They teach and host special classes and workshops. Mireille’s career as an acro yoga teacher and performer evolved from the world of classical ballet and broadened to include circus arts and contortion. Heidi is a balance artist specializing in highlining and breath-based partner acrobatics. Heidi and Mireille’s partnership presents a dynamic duo whose creativity and sense of joy for their art, delight their audience.
